  1. Edit subtasks or add a subtasks overlay?

When subtasks were first introduced we had the ability to edit them after they were placed under a target (I think via a right-click menu). Could we have that back? Or even better have an overlay on subtasks like we have on primary targets? I'd love the option to "complete", "delete", "edit", and/or "move" subtasks either to a list, the dreamcatcher, or into daily targets as it's own target.

    David,

As for the options overlay for sub-tasks, we’re actually looking into this.

    In the meantime:

To edit a sub-tasks, simply double click the text of the sub-task and an input field for you to make your changes will appear.

Once done, press ENTER on your keyboard to save the changes.

To cancel, simply click away from the edit field.

  2. Revise the dojo. Yellow belt stuck repeating lesson 1 (submitted ticket) but why has no-one else flagged this? 20 days too long...?

I know a habit takes 21 days to build - but the dreamcatcher, brainstorm and decide are not rocket science. I suggest that the first lesson is never repeated - but a less waffly (sorry) 'thorough' version produced for day 2-5, and maybe day 10. Then, I would use the most straightforward version, and incorporate Yellow belt training from day 10 or 15 latest. If these 'lessons' overlapped just a little, there would be less chance of people dropping out through boredom or impatience. OR - people could be allowed to jump ahead after half the lessons for each level...Just…

  3. A "Daily task" planner with timeframes.

I love when you end up with your "Daily task", everything works so well there at the moment!!

but how about the possibility to plan your daily task in debths? perhaps you could click "next" to a new page where you could put your task into boxes with morning, afternoon, and evening and then exact timeschedule also.

It's good to know what you should do everyday but also to work with timeframes

    Diane,

As the Simpleology training series is new, and we have no way to truly identify any given User’s understanding of the system, we’re asking that everyone – Newbie to Expert – start at the beginning and earn their belts “fairly” by going through the training in full.

We the developers who likely understand the system and concepts better than anyone are going through the White Belt training the same as everyone else. So we can relate to and understand your situation.

To help improve and expedite the experience of each day’s, and each belt’s training, we’ve devised a new pattern that first welcomes you to “Day X” of your “Y Belt Training” – giving you a visual reference of your progress and goal – and then for most days of the that belt’s training, it will be a consolidated version of what you have been seeing (i.e. days one…

  5. Have a comments field for DC items, openable by clicking on an icon next to that DC item.

So, when you first input a DC item, you can add comments or expand on the idea.
I know the idea is to dump the idea in the DC and forget about it.
But often, it's necessary to put much more info down when an idea comes, for two reasons.
    1. A one-line title may not be enough to remember the full scope of the idea.
    2. When ideas come, the creative juices might already be flowing enough that a single line will not be enough to record the outpouring.

We’ve just applied an update to Start My Day that now recognizes how many tasks you have in your Brainstorm list and skips “blank” or “empty” Start My Day steps that do not have tasks to process.

This update is only true if you are NOT going through “Do Today’s Training”. If you are going through “Do Today’s Training”, to accommodate the lessons / presentations of the training, the “blank” or “empty” steps will not be skipped.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

  7. Have recurring tasks show up in Daily Tasks

Items that are listed in recurring tasks would function better if they turned up in Daily Tasks once "start my day" had been completed to simplify the days planning and ensure nothing is forgotten. An option to set a day to a recurring task would be brilliant for those things that crop up weekly but you still dont want to risk forgetting to do them.

    Kerry,

In Start My Day there is a “Recurring Tasks” module (third from the left) which offers you the ability to add any item you have marked as “recurring” to your Morning Brainstorm list.

From there, when you go through the “Decide” module, you can opt to include (or not include) your recurring tasks to your Daily Targets.

As far as setting specific intervals for recurring tasks (i.e. recur on: monday, daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), we have plans for including this option in a future update of Simpleology.

  9. Allow item List tags to be retained from previous days. Or if they already are, to be shown on the "Decide" page.

On the "Decide" page, I have some items that are new (from Dreamcatcher and brainstorm) and I have some other items that are carried over from the previous day and from reminders. For items I categorize as "Deliberate It" it gives me the option to add them to a list and/or to add reminders. I think that there are many of these that I add to the same list over and over again each day because it doesn't display what list they're from (if any).

I would like them to display what list they're from, or a blank field or 'none'…

  10. Blackberry Playbook

I know you had previously stated that you wouldn't support Blackberry Playbook with Wimiki, but if it is available on Android, can you just port it into the Playbook (and even BB10) for use? So many business users still use Blackberry. I also know that App Developers that develop for BB, make more money. (Blackberry is a client of mine too).

    Thanks for the consideration.

  15. Can you make recurring tasks have many subtasks?

I have a lot of tasks I do daily, about 15, and it would be so much better if these could be nested, so they do not get all jumbled around with my other tasks of any given day. Now they all get mixed up and I waste a lot of time searching for them, and I don't want to waste five minutes every day reordering them and color coding them. It would be so much better to just have this option.

  16. A button that makes Simpleology your homepage so that when you open your browser in the morning, it's right there for you to start your day.

So many folks don't know how to add a page as the homepage in their browser of choice. Having a button that says, "Make Simpleology your homepage" would make this simple for folks and start them off using Simpleology every day.

  18. Instead of using arrows to move items in the Daily Targets list up or down, it would be great to be able to drag and drop to have

Maybe it's me from lack of training and newness, but the arrows to move list items up and down can be cumbersome. I've used other lists, like toodledo, with drag and drop function.

We just released some major improvements to the “Options Overlay” and drag-n-drop across the whole site.

You can now easily drag-n-drop your items by simply grabbing the row and dragging.

As for the “Options Overlay”, we’ve removed the whole “ON / OFF” toggle concept, reduced the space it consumes, improved the organization of the options/icons, and now allow you to simply click anywhere on the “Options Overlay” that isn’t an icon to remove that row’s overlay so that you can highlight/copy that row’s text, double click to edit, and/or access click-able links.

We also increased the size of the “Lists” and “Label” drop-downs, as well as alphabetized the order of the lists that appear.

All in all, these improvements should have a positive impact on your use of the system.

  19. Customize the color options for the daily targets list. I have color coded segments of life based on Jack Canfield's Power of Focus

Jack Canfield says there are 7 components to life:

    Personal
    Finance
    Career/Business
    Relationships
    Entertainment
    Contributions
    Health

    (not necessarily in this order)

  20. Moving Actions up/down in Daily Targets (to get into Priority Order) Should be easier.

Using the Arrow up in a list of 25 or so actions, a number of times, is a pain.
Can WE not grab it to drag and drop?
If not can we color the line to show priority?
Or pit a Pty number beside and then sort by its (All 1's to top, followed by 2's etc)
