What if you don't know what the next steps are to reach one of your goals?
You may be working on a goal, but get to a point where you don't know the next steps. You don't know where to go or who to turn to. You've done what you know, and yet, you haven't reached your goal. Maybe you're unsure why you haven't met your goal.

Hey there ... since we're closing the Ask Mark project I'm going to answer all of these questions via text before shutting it down.
As for your question ...
Find someone who has done it before. Not a professional "guru" or "expert" ... I mean a real-world person who has done it. Tell then where you're stuck and ask for help. Maybe they'll answer, maybe not. Keep trying until you find one who will.
Post your question on facebook and ask your friends if they know someone who knows how to do what you don't.
Just be very specific and persistent.
Universities are also a great resource at times. Call up the appropriate department and tell them you have a question. Be prepared and be very specific. Every department in every university is different, but some are very very helpful to their communities.
