Can we use productivity to increase virtue?
It seems that there ought to be a way in which being more productive make us better people, which in turns makes us more productive, and so on. But could you turn this into a concrete plan?

I think the plan is simple: keep sticking to it until it's an unshakeable habit. The feedback loop you described is a natural one that's already there.
If you want some motivation for sticking to it, read some Stephen Pressfield like The War of Art or Turning Pro.
