how do you remove a recurring task without deleting the task?
how about a REMOVE from recurring option?
1 voteHey Garth, with the new Options Overlay this is now possible.
Go to the Recurring Tasks list. Hover over the task you want to delete. Select the trash can icon. Voila!

Can options overlay on/off button be at the bottom as well as top of the page please?
This would save me scrolling up and down the page to turn it on or off - and/or have a handy keyboard short cut for turning it on or off no matter where you are on the screen e.g. CTRL O
Thanks1 voteWe just released some major improvements to the “Options Overlay” and drag-n-drop across the whole site.
You can now easily drag-n-drop your items by simply grabbing the row and dragging.
As for the “Options Overlay”, we’ve removed the whole “ON / OFF” toggle concept, reduced the space it consumes, improved the organization of the options/icons, and now allow you to simply click anywhere on the “Options Overlay” that isn’t an icon to remove that row’s overlay so that you can highlight/copy that row’s text, double click to edit, and/or access click-able links.
We also increased the size of the “Lists” and “Label” drop-downs, as well as alphabetized the order of the lists that appear.
All in all, these improvements should have a positive impact on your use of the system.

Final Daily Targets Screen
Not sure if the final screen works, where you have filtered options but cannot show all your daily targets.
I like to have my prioritised list in front of me and then I work my way through them

Can we have an option to use the old interface again?
My reaction is yuck! Tons of meaningless icons at the top, sparse cold boring interface. Graphics are ugly. No joy anymore! :(
You guys should have left the old interface alone. This is not enjoyable to use. It's not friendly, it's not something I want to see at the beginning of everyday.
How can I use the old interface again?
1 voteHey Chris,
Unfortunately we can’t do that as it would force us to maintain multiple versions which should be a mess.
That said, allow me to state a case for 4.0 …
1. The icons at the top you can remove if you don’t like. That is a Shortcut Canvas you can populate with anything you like – or remove – totally as you see fit.
2. Most prefer the new look, but we understand everyone has different taste … so, soon we’ll be offering an option to skin it as you like.
Meanwhile, I strongly recommend adapting to the new interface. There is so much more you can do … and so much more you’ll be able to do with the improvements we have planned … It’s always tough switching to a new interface, but I bet after a few days you’ll love it even more than the last…

send scheduled tasks to outlook
send scheduled tasks to MS outlook
1 voteHi Mohammed, you can do this now … Select the Schedule icon via the Options Overlay, select Outlook, and you’ll download an iCal file. Click on that file and if you have Outlook selected as your default calendar it will add it.
That’s the most direct way it can be done via the web to Outlook …

More directions
I am a new user. I need more easy to find direction on what each thing does (and doesn't do) and which things I will see everyday in Start My Day and which things I need to go to on my own. Simpleology is helping but I feel a bit cumbersome and like I am not getting the full use out of it.

When writing in on the short term focus
When writing in on the short term focus. I clicked on the medium term focus, then went back to short term focus and it was gone. This was after I spent 10 min writing in it. The save option should be used when you log out not by switching to another category.

Selection box per task in lists
On editing my lists I note there is a multiple selection box to highlight all and assign an action. Perhaps it's just me but I can't imagine wanting to action a complete list in the same way. Is it possible to have selection boxes per line to select multiple items by line? I'm sure this function has been available previously.
1 voteHey Sarah, you can do this by:
- click multi-select
- unselect the items you don’t want to processPlease let us know if that works for you. If not we’ll re-open this and look at an alternative.

Consistent use of icons through Simpleology
When amending my LIST records I had been flummoxed by the sub-task icon that sits to the right.
The reasons for that are that firstly the blue icon is indeed a clickable icon when the it appears against a list in Dailey Targets and secondly, when I mouse hover the blue icon on the List page my mouse does change to suggest it is a clickable link - so I've been click, click, clicking and demanding my screen to change to no avail!
It took an accidental click in using the new system to realise that I should access the…

Retrospective input of data
It's not always possible, and if it's an off work day - a sometimes forgotten action, to actually input the data on the actual day of the relevant measurement. Can we have the facility to select the date of the input to enable the capture of retrospective data against it's correct date?

Add overlay feature to recurring tasks
The Recurring Task is a List (with it's sub-tasks) that is by it's very nature used far more frequently than any other Lists and yet it has none of functionality of the overlay that is always available for a List.
To be able to manage the sub-tasks (other than edit, complete, delete) of a List I use daily and have it appear as a selectable option in Sart My Day, I have to create a Recurring Task with the name of my appropriate List (to point me to it) then instead of using that Recurring Task and managing the sub-tasks…
1 voteRecurring Tasks – https://my.simpleology.com/#recurring-tasks – now contains the Options Overlay.
