SOLVED: You can drag them around to re-order them so I think that this request is actually already fulfilled. I don't worry about order when i am adding the list of pieces because i can reorder them manually at any time.

BUT -- I forgot to include HOW i solved this. I struggled with reordering too, until i realized that all i had to do was to turn the "stuff i want" item into my "short term focus" and voila! I could rename my title AND i could reorder my steps.

So now I do a lot of shuffling of my short term focus when i am working on backward planners -- i just set the current one as my short term focus, do all the planning and rearranging, then set my short term focus back to whatever that focus actually is. :-)

Yes, I would really like this. I cannot use the Backward Planner as well as I would like if I cannot reorder the items after I've added them. I rarely get it right first time and usually think of new ideas after I've added it. The only way to fix it is to start over. It's easier to just add tasks straight in to the Dreamcatcher as tasks/subtasks (but then there is no need for the Backwards Planner). Thanks.

No one thinks of everything on their first backward planning attempt. And when new ideas arrive (they will), they will need to be sorted into proper sequence. They don't occur to us in exactly the right order every single time. I've been waiting for this option for several years so that I can finally begin to use the backwards planner. It seems so obviously intuitive that I'm a little stunned we haven't seen it yet. It makes me wonder if there's something in the general philosophy of the developers that would label this a bad idea. If so, I would sincerely appreciate learning about it.

When putting together the backward plan, you may have high level steps or milestones, but there are sub steps under each. The way I think, i get the major things listed and then think of the detail below that. With the BP the way it is, there appears to be no way to insert an item or to move items around like in the sort phase of "start my day"
