Coding of DB and htm-page(s)
I would greatly appreciate the Dbase coding to be utf-8 (which it seems to be) and also the page(s) displaying the proper html-entity rather something like "ß"

Definitely. Even though user interface is in English, natural flow of mind tends to be in one's mother language - which may contain lots of "special characters". UTF-8 support will greatly increase usability for non-english speakers.
