Update Desktop Cockpit for Vista and Windows 7
Just as with the Wimiki, Simpleology being on the edge of things really requires that the software be up to date!
desktop cockpit functionality has now been rolled in to the Wimiki – and the new Wimiki works with Windows 7 :-)

The Desktop Cockpit is a problem as a desktop background. I would log in and click remember me and then it would suddenly log out. I would turn off the clock and it would suddenly come back and sit on top of my open applications and not fall back when I clicked on the application again. I found it to be very disrupting and slowed me down. I would like a Desktop Cockpit that I can minimize and/or turn off when I do not want it. I would prefer a Cockpit in my Simpleology back office that I can use instead of one on my desktop. I am not voting for this unless the Desktop Cockpit is truly behind the scenes and not disrupting all the time.

It should at least store data locally so if we can't get online or the WebCockpit goes down we should have access to our lists of targets. Perhaps even including the ability to do off-line DTP if that doesn't bloat the software too much (which it might).

I'd prefer a little desktop app (like the Wimiki), that synchronizes with the WebCockpit data rather than integrating with the Windows wallpaper like the current DesktopCockpit.

I love the program but have seriously considered cancelling it since I can't use the Desktop cockpit on either of my pc's.

I agree. I am not using Vista by choice and I feel a bit left behind ;)

I haven't used the Desktop Cockpit (not compatible with my OS!) but surely it is very desirable to have the same functionality as the WebCockpit, and all your targets, etc, if you are unable to connect to the Web for some reason. Should work similarly to the Google AdWords Editor, with the ability to upload and download changes.
