Add a timer and time allocation to tasks/targets
To assign time blocks to tasks, ie 5min, 15min, 30min, 1hr, 2hrs etc so we can estimate time needed for the day. A countdown timer would also be cool when we start a task/target so we dont get caught up wasting time. This creates a sense of urgency

Hey Ivan, we've merged this with the other idea, but when we address it we'll take your excellent suggestion into consideration.

I agree this is one of the most important changes and would like to see with Both Ivan's and Roo Roo's functional improvements (Ivan - Estimate/Actual tracking and cumulation, and Roo Roo's on/off timer with cumulative time capture would both be great for project billing and general productivity management). I would agree with Vic also that the timer should be a checkbox - would be nice to set a default option in profile that would be overwritten by checkbox election if necessary.

I requested a similar idea, but with some differences:
Ability to add "Estimated / Actual Time box" for each task & Cumulate Time filtering by labels; and then transfer the received data to any tracker you want. Please see it here for more details: http://simpleology.uservoice.com/forums/106391-simpleology/suggestions/3464348-ability-to-add-estimated-actual-time-box-for-e

This is a nice feature, but since the timer will not be applicable on all kinds of tasks, please make it optional.

I'd like to see "pomodoro technique" integrated with simpleology this will increase the productivity
pomodoro is also a simple technique, it's work by breaking the tasks into pomodoros each pomodoro is 25 min with break for 5 min after 4 pomodoros a break for 15 to 20 min and this would be a full pomodoro,
in start my day we have determine how many pomodoro each task is needed.
we need the pomodoro timer in the mobile apps and it should work in the background so if the sceen is lock it will still give us the reminder this should be enough but if you want to implement the full pomodoro technique that would be great.thank you

This is cool, would like the timer to accomodate Pomodoro (25 min, then 5 min break)

I'd second that with an added component I use as I write my lists by hand. Next to the time allotted, a space for the the actual time used, and another for the time of day. This gives an excellent way to get a hand on our expectations vs reality, and then to bend reality into a new form, as well as to track when we're really moving at our best in the day for what kind of tasks. The next time one plans, it becomes much more efficiant. That in turn gives the boost of energy that seeing success always bring. And can also eventually bring one to change the "low productive" times into high productive times, by getting at the specific details that work, or changing the physical characteristics that make it a low time (ie eating, excercise, rising times, etc) or more simply, take fullest advantage of the various times and their factors, ie after lunch is a time to use in meditating because physically feel slower, or the morning is intense clarity time, so solve problems and create solutions at that time of day etc.

I have been using a stopwatch and a Countdown timer from another TThis has been a great time saver. It would be great if this was a part of Wikimi(sp?) The alarms in that gadget are too cumbersome to operate.

This is so true with Facebook!
So many things happening with our FB friends that we want to track all of them! without a timer, we would be litterally gone with the draft! When a maximum-of-20 minute-facebook-session-per-day is enough!

In addition, allow a cumulative timer. We could check the box and let the timer start. We check and stop. It would keep track of the item and total time over the total number of sessions to show it has been completed. Just an idea, might help those who bill hourly keep better records.
