I found this 'feature' when I had entered a bunch of stuff using the Chrome add-in one night and noticed they weren't there in my DC the next morning..

I initially thought it was a 'feature' with the Chrome add-in and entered a Support request, but then noticed that they all showed up later in the day (notably, after I had gone through my DC and deleted some items).. So the response I got from tech support was "It might have been a connection issue or a temporary system glitch." -- ok, I accepted that answer because my items showed up..

Then, it happened again! If I do a search they ARE actually listed as being in the DC).. so even though I didn't see them on-screen, I thought maybe they would go into StartMyDay.. Sadly, they didn't show up there either..

So I scrolled through my DC and started counting... And I found that it's because there is seemingly a limit of 100 items on the DC page, in the UI... The problem is though that they don't even make it to StartMyDay either.. So there's a limit there too I guess?

Yes, yes, I know, the theory is that people wouldn't have more than 100 items in their DC.. but I do.. and they don't show, and thus seemingly get 'lost'... which would be contrary to the mantra of the DC which as I recall was something to the effect of "just stick it here - it won't get lost"..
